Intel Joins Quotility Community

Quote service to offer semiconductor product price/delivery information through its authorized distributors

PASADENA, Calif. - February 6, 2001 – eConnections, Inc., announced today that it would offer the Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) semiconductor product line through Quotility, eConnections' authorized online quote utility. As the newest member of the rapidly growing Quotility community, Intel has signaled its support of the importance of authorized channels within the electronics industry.

Quotility is an online quoting service that provides authorized connections to the world's leading electronic component manufacturers, distributors, and manufacturer's representatives. Independent and neutral, it gives customers needing electronic components an efficient way to request, collect and compare critical product information from distributors and manufacturers through a secure private marketplace, confident that the data is authorized, timely and reliable.

"Authorized connections allow buyers and sellers to build relationships that are critical for success," said George Smith, director, North American channels for Intel. "Quotility recognizes the importance of those relationships and answers the market demand for a neutral service that strengthens the connections between buyers and sellers."

Quotility replaces traditional inefficiencies with automated and intelligent quote distribution, tracking, consolidation, and reporting capabilities. Customers can upload quotes, select the authorized suppliers and distributors they wish to quote, then receive an automated spreadsheet containing detailed information as to price, availability, manufacturers' part numbers and standard packaging. And, because that information is from authorized sources, customers know they'll get genuine components, warranty protection, technical support, customer service, inventory management and value-added services.

"eConnections created Quotility to meet a real challenge in the marketplace today," said Rob Rodin, chairman and CEO of eConnections. "Intel's participation reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the industry through support of the ongoing relationships between distributors, suppliers, and customers."

In addition to Intel, other members of the Quotility community include: Artesyn Technologies (NASDAQ:ATSN), Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML), AVX Corporation (NYSE:AVX), Bourns Inc., FCI/Berg, Fujitsu Takamisawa America, Hitachi Semiconductor America, KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM), Micron Technology (NYSE:MU), Molex Inc.
